Anna Pilkington
Anna joined Dorset Orthopaedic’s growing London Clinic in 2022. After graduating with a MSc degree in physiotherapy at Brighton University, Anna went on to work at Frimley Park Hospital as a physiotherapist for over 3 years. As a Senior Physiotherapist, she deputised as Clinical Lead for the inpatient and outpatient amputee service, undertaking new patient assessments, facilitating discharge from hospital and helping people trial walking devices for the first time. Anna then worked in London at Guys and St Thomas’ hospital for a further 3 years, continuing to develop her rehabilitation skills and working with trauma patients on the Intensive Care Unit.
Previously, Anna primarily worked with amputees in the early stages of their rehabilitation journey, however, she is now looking forward to helping people return to their functional goals and personalising rehabilitation to their needs. Anna is passionate about helping people achieve their full potential, be it walking to the supermarket or returning to sport.
Anna’s love of exercise is reflected in her personal life. Anna regularly participates in sports, including triathlons, sea swimming and tennis. Most recently, Anna swam the length of the Coniston lake and is planning on undertaking many more challenges.
