Remedy Healthcare Patient Pathway
Your Goals, Our Combined Expertise
This new partnership brings together Dorset Orthopaedic’s prosthetic, orthotic and rehabilitation expertise with Remedy Healthcare’s wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT) skills in rehabilitation. As an additional option to enhance our long-standing Residential Rehabilitation service, this partnership offers onsite accommodation (rather than in a hotel) which will be more suitable on some occasions. The goal is to ensure patients achieve optimal outcomes through intensive, tailored programmes that meet their individual needs and goals.

Partnership
At the heart of this partnership is a shared commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centred rehabilitation. By combining decades of specialist expertise, we offer tailored, evidence-based rehabilitation pathways for those with limb loss and limb difference, designed to support each individual’s unique recovery journey.
Through the partnership, patients will have access to an extensive MDT including some of the country’s leading experts in Rehabilitation Medicine, Pain Management, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Exercise rehabilitation and Occupational Therapy.

Remedy Healthcare
Remedy Healthcare’s expertise is rooted in the British Military’s experience treating polytrauma and limb-loss patients throughout the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts—an approach now widely regarded as the gold standard in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Many of those same clinicians now work alongside a broader team with backgrounds in the NHS, private healthcare, and elite sport. Together, they deliver an evidence-based, outcome-driven model recognised and recommended by NICE.

Treatment Pathways
The partnership offers multiple pathways to access this new service.
- Residential – An intensive 2–4 week programme, repeated in cycles based on clinical need, designed to balance high-level functional gains—achieved through multidisciplinary work in gym and hydrotherapy facilities—with real-world, home-oriented applications. Suitable for both local patients and those coming from afar. Remedy's facility is based in Bagshot, Surrey.
- Outpatient - Bespoke clinic based sessional programmes for patients wanting a non-residential program with access to gym and hydrotherapy. Suitable for patients able to commute to Remedy's facility.
- Set intensive clinic based 20 hour programmes for patients requiring intensity without the need for a residential stay.
- Community – home-based therapy for local patients who use the Egham or Amersham clinics.

Key Benefits
With Remedy’s Consultant-led MDT, focus on patient choice and the variance in the intensity of rehabilitation they offer, clients can be assured that their specialist needs will be met with this exciting collaboration between the two services.
