Residential Rehab
Residential Rehabilitation at Dorset Orthopaedic is designed to support people on their road to recovery by giving them the tools, the self-belief and the inner strength to succeed.
It involves staying in a local hotel and travelling to the clinic every day for therapy input. Whilst each package is bespoke to meet the needs of the individual client, the aim of each residential block is to give the client the independence and transferable skills to live life to the full in the real world.

What is included in the package?
1:1 clinician time for full assessment, goal setting and rehab needs.
Includes a variety of rehab modalities such as gait re-education, hydrotherapy, exercise prescription, return to activity such as climbing, skiing, cycling etc.
A full assessment with validated outcome measures, updates and future planning report after every block.
Accommodation and transport as required.

Unique to you!
Each patients timetable is tailor-made to suit them, making it ideal for all levels of mobility and function. The benefit of additional time allows us to pace rehab to each individual needs, from taking our time to learn standing balance to a high intensity day of activity.

Goal setting
At the beginning of each programme, our expert clinicians discuss your specific goals, agree and set expectations and create a clinically justified plan to ensure we get as close to pre-limb loss levels of activity as possible.
