Jaydee Burchell
Based at our Ringwood clinic, Jaydee joined the team as a Physiotherapist in January 2026 and is passionate about helping people return to the activities that matter most to them.
Jaydee graduated from Keele University in 2021 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. During her degree, she spent a year studying abroad in Amsterdam and Melbourne, broadening her knowledge base. Her interest in amputee rehabilitation began during a conversation with her university tutor, which led to a placement in Wolverhampton and ultimately sparked her long‑standing commitment to supporting patients following limb loss.
After qualifying, Jaydee began her career at Dorset County Hospital on a rotational programme covering elderly care, musculoskeletal outpatients, neurological inpatient rehabilitation, pelvic health, hydrotherapy, and A&E. She later moved to Salisbury to join Wessex Rehab, where she currently works within the Lower Limb and Chronic Pain Team. Since qualifying, Jaydee has gained broad experience supporting individuals recovering from complex polytrauma, plastic and orthopaedic surgery, and amputation. She has worked extensively with veterans and has trained in the use of an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) model approach to pain management.
Jaydee takes a person‑centred approach to rehabilitation, working closely with each individual to understand their priorities and goals to design creative, meaningful, and effective treatment plans. Alongside her core role, she brings additional expertise in lower limb rehabilitation, major trauma, pain management, and hydrotherapy.
In addition to her physiotherapy qualifications, Jaydee completed a Sports Massage certification in 2018 and is currently working towards a Pilates qualification. She is also undertaking further training in Olympic Weightlifting coaching and Pitch‑side Physiotherapy. Her background in strength training and chronic pain management complements her clinical practice.
Outside of work, Jaydee enjoys recreating dishes from her favourite restaurants, spending time with family and friends, taking cold dips in the sea, and exploring the outdoors. She previously competed at National level in Trampolining and volunteers with a charity offering free weightlifting sessions to young people aged 13–18 in deprived areas, supporting her local community through accessible sport and movement.
