Alice Hannah – Prosthetist, Dorset Orthopaedic Midlands Clinic

Alice graduated from the University of Salford with a BSc (Hons) in Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2013 and has extensive experience across both NHS and private practice, providing specialist prosthetic care to adults and children with all levels of amputation.

Inspired by a close family member’s rehabilitation journey, Alice is passionate about delivering personalised, patient centred care. She has experience managing complex cases, including multiple amputations and associated comorbidities, and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to support successful rehabilitation outcomes.

Alice has expertise in a wide range of prosthetic technologies, including advanced componentry and socket design, and is committed to continuous professional development. Her international experience includes participation in LUKE Arm trials and training in the USA, attendance at the Myoelectric Controls Symposium (MEC 2024) in Canada, and OTWorld, a leading global event for prosthetic, orthotic and rehabilitation innovation.

She is dedicated to building strong relationships with patients, understanding their individual goals, and helping them achieve the best possible outcomes. Outside of work, Alice enjoys spending time with her young family, visiting Scotland, and exploring the countryside and coastline. Her background in hockey and swimming also gives her valuable insight into the needs of active individuals and those pursuing sporting goals with prosthetic devices.
