Maggie Walker
Maggie joined the team at the Egham Clinic in January 2024. Maggie has over 30 years clinical experience of working with amputees in the NHS at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton. For many years, Maggie has been a member of the British Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Limb Absence Rehabilitation (BACPAR) and the International Society of Prosthetics & Orthotics (ISPO) and has given presentations at national & international conferences.
Maggie’s specialist interests are in the rehabilitation of multiple limb amputees, Osseointegration & Microprocessor Knee training.
Maggie enjoys working with amputees to enable them to achieve their personal goals, whether it is returning to their everyday life activities or sports. A memorable moment for Maggie was having the privilege to accompany a group of amputees to climb Kilimanjaro & also Mount Toubkal in Africa.
In her spare time, Maggie enjoys the great outdoors & either loves walking in the countryside or being on the water in her sculling boat or sailing with her husband.
