We recently invited local case managers and solicitors to a VIP event at our newly refurbished Midlands clinic. Attendees were treated to an exclusive tour of the clinic facilities as well as a behind-the-scenes workshop tour.
Everyone was suitably impressed with our bright and airy consultation rooms and newly added physiotherapy and rehabilitation areas. After the tour, guests heard presentations from Matthew Hughes, Clinical Services development Director at Dorset Orthopaedic – and Beth Langley, physiotherapist at St. George’s Park.
Mr Hughes spoke about the cutting edge prosthetic and orthotic work at the company and gave an interesting overview of Osseointegration and rehabilitation process we have been a part of with the team in Sydney Australia. He introduced our client Paul Williams who underwent Osseointegration surgery in Sydney early this year, Paul gave a very personal perspective of the experience and explained how it had changed his life.
Beth Langley from Perform (part of Spire Health) works in partnership with us to offer a unique amputee specific rehabilitation programme. Miss Langley, along with an amputee client she is currently treating, affirmed the positive effect intensive rehabilitation and training has.
Beth explained “Many amputees with range of mobility levels have greatly benefitted from this accelerated rehabilitation process and the results have always been positive; individuals being brought closer to their pre-injury state of mobility in the shortest possible time frame.”
Overall the event was a great success and we hope to be opening our doors for similar events in the near future.
