COVID-19 Guidelines

Dorset Orthopaedic is taking the spread of Covid-19 Coronavirus in the UK extremely seriously and our number one priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our staff, patients and customers.

We are keeping ourselves informed of the developing situation and are following the advice and recommendations from the Government, Public Health England and the World Health Organisation.

To enable us to continue to provide our usual high level of service, we have taken steps to ensure you receive the continued support you need

Patient Support

Our clinical and patient support teams are continuing to function and as precautionary measures we have stepped up cleaning and hygiene routines for all clinical areas and reception spaces and will ask all visitors to wash hands on arrival at any of our locations.

At present we will look to maintain as best as we can (staffing levels permitting) clinical services at our Ringwood, Burton and Egham locations, however should your appointment need to be moved we will try to give you as much notice as possible.

Software and technology is in place to allow some staff to work from home ensuring normal operations and as a result, we currently anticipate minimal disruption in our clinical service. All patient appointments are running as usual.

We appreciate that this situation is evolving daily and we will keep you updated as things develop.

Attending Clinics

At present all patients are being contacted the day before their scheduled appointment to confirm attendance and ensure they are not exhibiting symptoms or currently self-isolating. Dorset Orthopaedic kindly requests that all patients follow the guidance below if they are coming into one of our clinics:

If you have symptoms of either:

  • A high temperature
  • A new and persistent cough

Please stay at home and self-isolate for 7-14 days. During this time, you should avoid any unnecessary contact with others, stay indoors and manage your symptoms personally. If you still have symptoms after 7 days or your symptoms worsen, please contact NHS 111 online services for further advice click here for further information.

Please be assured that if you need to cancel we will re arrange this for you at the soonest and most appropriate time.

At this current time, we are operating within our standard lead times. If this changes, we will of course update you. If you have any queries or concerns, please do contact our support teams.

Stay safe and well.
