Making great strides

 

Following our success in orthotics with the SAFO, we are now focusing on patient comfort. The team is working on pioneering liner systems that will make sockets as comfortable as possible. Once complete, we will offer other companies access to these products. This will make it much easier for our partners to provide patients with comfortable prostheses.

 

Research papers show that many amputees suffer significant pain with their artificial limbs. Our liner system innovations will help patients whose sockets fail to fit perfectly. We are also working on an above-knee liner and a product that delivers a comfortable fit for older people.

 

Beyond our product developments, we are seeking to set a benchmark standard for prosthetic care throughout Europe. At Dorset Orthopaedic, we believe every patient deserves devices and support that help them return to normal lives. We are currently identifying likeminded professionals and companies to support us in this goal.
