Pink Legs for Christmas – Pretty in Pink
Charlotte Nott, a Meningococcal septicaemia survivor, is walking tall with a pair of pink glitter prosthetics made by the team at Dorset Orthopaedic. Thanks to the specialist paediatric knowledge of her prosthetist, David Hills, she is back on her feet.
4 year-old Charlotte was struck down with an aggressive form of meningitis in Christmas 2010. The rapid progression of the illness resulted in the amputation of parts of her arms and legs.
After receiving her new pink limbs Charlotte’s parents have seen the youngster’s confidence grow. A highlight for Charlotte is shoe shopping, she has already splashed out on 4 new pairs of shoes.
