Oscar Pistorius secures his place in History at 2012 Olympics
Oscar Pistorius was knocked out of London 2012 Olympics in the semi-finals of the 400m sprint but his achievements will resound for years to come.
The four-time Paralympic champion, aged 25, whose legs were amputated below the knee as a baby, finished second in the heats in a time of 45.44 seconds but his time of 46.54sec in the semi-final wasn’t good enough to secure his place in the final.
This is not the last we will see of the South African at the Olympics as he will return for the 4x400m relay before turning his attention to the Paralympic Games.
