For legal professionals

How much does a report cost?

A standard prosthetic or orthotic report costs £995 plus VAT. This includes the consultation cost. Due to the amount of work involved, there may be additional charges for bilateral amputees and children's reports. Additional charges will apply for an enhanced report.

How quickly can you prepare the report for my client?

It usually takes around four to six weeks, following the consultation. However, please let us know if you need the report urgently and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

My client finds it difficult to travel. Can you see my client anywhere closer to home?

We hold prosthetic legal clinics in Ringwood, Hampshire, Harley Street London, Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire, and at The Nuffield Hospital, Leeds. We currently hold orthotic legal clinics in Ringwood and Burton Upon Trent.

Does my patient have to attend the clinic or can you prepare a desktop report?

We'll assess each case individually. We can often prepare desktop reports for pre-amputation clients and digit amputees. For these cases, we'll need access to photographs and medical reports.

How soon after the amputation should you see my client?

We usually recommend seeing patients for reports around six months after the amputation. By this time, the residual limbs have usually shrunk.

Can your Prosthetists and Orthotists undertake Domiciliary Visits for legal reports?

Yes, one of our Prosthetist performs domiciliary work. Our Orthotist, Mr Collins, can also undertake domiciliary work, depending on clinical commitments. We can provide you with quotes for this service.

How experienced is the Prosthetist/Orthotist who will see my client?

All our clinicians are highly experienced in dealing with patient’s prosthetic and orthotic needs with combined clinical experience of over 210 years.

My client is keen to proceed, as recommended in the report. What's the best way forward?

If, at the time of the report, we're aware your client wishes to proceed, we can send them a quote and start the process. If we've already seen a client, whether we offer a free follow-up consultation before we start their clinical care depends on how long ago we met them.
